Living Plant Walls Make an Exciting Statement in Your Space
Published: June 24, 2016
Do you want to make a healthy statement and first impression? Something people will be drawn to.
Consider an environment friendly living wall (also referred to as green walls and vertical gardens). They differ from green facades such as ivy walls in that the plants are rooted in a structural support system which is fastened to the wall itself.
The plants receive water and nutrients from within the vertical support instead of from the ground. An irrigation system or drip-line is often recommended. There are also units available that are intended for hand watering. The excess water drains from units into a collection container. Often a lightweight porous material takes the place of soil making the walls much lighter.
With some attention, you can make a lasting statement to your commitment to people’s health and well-being.
Consider this in a new facility, and it is a perfect upgrade for any renovation.
